We are honored to support Mothers Against Drunk Driving for the 8th year in a row by hosting their Annual Tie One On for Safety kick-off event.

We heard from Greg Estep, whose 21 year old son Thomas, an acclaimed guitarist, was killed by a drunk driver in Russell County VA in the early morning hours of New Years Day 2017,  Colonel Gary T. Settle of the Virginia State Police, Chris Konschak - Director MADD Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Kody - owners of Richmond Ford.

According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), drunk driving deaths increased by 35 percent between Thanksgiving Eve and New Year’s Eve from 2013 to 2017. Last year, 1,143 people were killed from 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Eve through New Year’s Eve Vs 2013 when 846 people died in drunk driving crashes during the same time frame.

That's why we ask you to please take the pledge to designate a sober driver this holiday season. Pick up your red ribbon and either Richmond Ford West or Richmond Ford Lincoln to show you take the pledge to drive sober and get home safely!
