Richmond Ford In The Community

You may think our commitment to the Richmond area community only encompasses helping our customers find the perfect vehicle, or servicing their current vehicle in order to keep it in a safe and top of the line state - but that just isn't the way we see it. Every year we donate time, money, and our stores to charities and organizations we feel make the Richmond area a better place for our customers, neighbors, friends, and family. There are three pillars that we feel are necessary to support in order help our community go further: Health, Safety, and Education.

Our support of these three pillars resulted in our owner, Ron Kody, receiving the Salute to Dealers award in 2015, watch the video above to see what it was all about and check out our ever growing list of partnerships below!

Richmond Ford Lincoln has had the pleasure of hosting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital radiothon with K95 since 2006, and as Lori Kelly put it they "literally take over the whole building". The radiothon has been a staple event at our downtown store and we know it's an event our entire team looks forward to. Our efforts with St. Jude have added one very special little girl and her family to the Richmond Ford family, last year we were able to do something unique for them, we've included a short clip on it above.

The Richmond Area Walk to End Alzheimer's is one of our newest partnerships and was added in 2015. Many members of our community have had the unfortunate luck of becoming all too familiar with this disease. Our owners, Ron and Jeanine Kody have both lost parents to Alzheimer's, so this cause hits close to home.  You may have seen our garden growing at Richmond Ford West on West Broad St. in Glen Allen. Every one of those flowers represents a test drive at either of our locations with a subsequent donation to help end Alzheimer's, and of course you can find members of the Richmond Ford team at The Walk. Want to learn a little more about why we chose the Alzheimer's Association and what each of the symbolic flowers mean? Check out the video.

Every year our entire dealership to gets decked out in pink! Our downtown Richmond Store, Richmond Ford Lincoln, gets to host race packet pickup and meet all the participants of the Race For The Cure. For every test drive made during our breast cancer campaign for Susan G. Komen we make a donation. So far we've been able to grow that donation every year and plan on keeping it that way! On race day you can always find us at our Richmond Ford tent with giveaways and some cool cars sporting pink for the cause as well, Richmond Ford West's Warriors in Pink mustang was quite the hit at the last race.

We partner with MADD for the yearly "Tie One On For Safety" Campaign to help encourage the community to make smart and safe driving decisions throughout the holiday season.
